This is for a 500mW high powered pen booster amplifier that comes with RP-SMA male and female connectors, as well as an adapter to RP-TNC. An amplifier can be connected to an existing WiFi adapter card (that has an RP-SMA connector) or a wireless router/access point (that has an RP-SMA or RP-TNC connector) and can improve the range a great deal. Just take a look at this comparison. On the left we have an Alfa AWUS036H 500mW USB adapter and 2 dBi gain antenna. On the right we have the exact same equipment, with the addition of one of these 500mW pen boosters in between the Alfa adapter and antenna.



Please note that the above image is to demonstrate how this 500mW pen booster works. This auction does not include the Alfa AWUS036H wireless adapter. What is included is the 500mW pen booster amplifier which has an RP-SMA male and female connector, a converter to RP-TNC plug, and a compatible North American/US power supply so that you can plug the booster into a wall outlet to power it. Also included is a 2 dBi gain RP-SMA antenna and a handy carrying case. This is new from factory but is in OEM bulk packaging, there is no retail box. We do this with some items because having the items shipped to us bulk packed from factory without retail box really lowers the freight cost, then we can pass the savings on to you.
