This is a 9 dBi gain rubber duck antenna for use with wireless adapters that have an SMA connector on them. This adapter is made by Alfa Networks and has the Alfa logo on the product. Many PCI and some USB adapters have this type of device. The 500mw USB adapter from Alfa we sell here on this web site has an SMA connector and this is compatible with that adapter.

This measures 15" in height. It is heavy, so some wireless USB adapters, including the Alfa unit mentioned above, may need to be mounted or leaned against something in such a manner to prevent the setup from tipping over.

This unit is brand new in OEM factory packaging (non-retail). You will receive the antenna just as shown, exactly as pictured. It has no electronic parts and requires no installation on the computer- simply attach it to the SMA connector on your wireless adapter and it will automatically work. This may seem basic, but just to be clear not all wireless adapters have an external antenna connector. You should only buy this if you know your adapter has an SMA connector. If you are unsure, please email us with your adapter brand and model number.
